The group's focus in research and teaching covers various topics in technology-enhanced learning, web technologies, user-centered design methodologies and computer science education.

Instructional design and eLearning content and systems

  • Utilization of innovative software engineering methods and tools for the analysis, specification, design and implementation of eLearning scenarios, and eLearning contents
  • Systematic, computer-based conception and implementation of innovative learning theories and instructional models
  • Frameworks for implementing innovative instructional models based on current learning and cognitive theories
  • Development of eLearning- and authoring tools
  • Analysis, design and implementation of eLearning systems with modern web technology (specifically Web 2.0 in teaching in learning)

Development of sophisticated learning and authoring tools

  • Informative, individualized, semi-automatic, and qualitative feed back in (self-)assessments

User-centered Design of interactive Systems
